JR Colord Berry (his barn name is Berry), is as good an athlete as you will ever ride.
What’s even better, he’s good looking too.
With very limited showing, Berry has competed and won against some of the best cutting horse competition on the west coast.
Berry is a full brother to JR Colord Rambo (NCHA World Champion Open Horse).
Berry has tons of eye appeal and intensity in front of a cow.
He is also a pretty good riding horse outside of the arena.
Although I wouldn’t call Berry a foolproof trail horse, I have gathered cattle in the brush, climbed steep hills and crossed creeks with him.
Berry is sound and you can see in the video he has strong sturdy bone and feet.
Berry would work well at any of the following…
- A competition cutting horse.
- A team sorting or ranch cutting horse.
- A High School Rodeo horse.
With some rope training, he might even make a good calf or heel horse.
I would really like to see Berry go to somebody who will take good care of him.
He has been a good horse for me but I just don’t have time to ride him.
As a matter of fact, I hadn’t been on his back for a least six months until we shot this video.
It would be best if Berry went to someone who has some riding experience.
He would probably “buffalo” someone who was real green (he’s very smart).
Overall, Berry is the kind of horse you could have a lot of fun with and be proud to own.
Berry is very reasonably priced.
