Greg Darnall Spurs Designed for
Training and Showing Performance Horses
|
Spurs and Rowels
These spurs are designed to fit the
needs of the professional trainer as well as the non-pro performance
horse rider.
What I like about this particular
style of spur, it that they are shaped to fit on a boot correctly and
are balanced to stay in position. The band of the spur is made of 1/8"
cold rolled steel that is "bendable" and can easily be adjusted to fit
any sized boot.
Note:
The spur "band" should closely follow the contour of the boot but should
not fit on the boot "tight". It needs to be loose enough to allow the
spur to naturally hang in position.
Also, the shank of these spurs is the
correct shape and length (2") to work smoothly on the horse. You can
easily reach the horse's sides when you need to, yet not worry about
spurring accidentally.
These high-quality
spurs are hand-made by master bit and spur maker,
Greg Darnall.
